BACK STORY:

Born Theodore O'Bannion, young "Teddy" was quite the little neighborhood Romeo, stealing kisses from beneath the playground Pollyannas' pipe curls. He also always had a flair for the dramatic, prodding his playmates into staging elaborate pirate adventures on the bounding waters of the ponds in Philly's most prestigious parks - much to the chagrin of the local police force! 

After graduating from high school, he longed for adventure, even working as a truck driver to escape the city limits. But soon he discovered the local theater groups, where he was quickly spotted by a casting director for the Theatre Guild and whisked off to The Great White Way. His refined good looks, coupled with a certain aura of reckless abandon, brought him role upon role - and the attentions and intentions of an army of beautiful young actresses and debutantes.

After playing the gamut of juvenile roles on Broadway, Teddy, now known as Trent Osborn to the New York theater goers, was brought to Hollywood in 1935. A mainstay at Monolithic, he appeared in scores of films, and his most frequent leading ladies included such glamorous stars as Gene Marshall and Madra Lord.

 

As flamboyant a figure in Hollywood nightlife as he was on the screen, Trent Osborn broke countless hearts. But when he turned on those bedroom eyes, everyone from starlet to seasoned veteran melted at a glance.

Jem and the Holograms is the name of Jerrica Benton's music band. They are signed under Starlight Music, which is also owned and run by Jerrica.

The band derives its name from the main concept of the show, which are the holographic images projected from Synergy, a supercomputer built by Jerrica's father, (Emmett Benton) via her earrings. These earrings have remote micro-projectors in them, allowing Jerrica to assume the persona of her alter ego, Jem. She can also project images around her, which she uses in many cases as a distraction if her cover is about to be blown or to protect herself and her friends from danger.

The band has made much progress throughout the series, starting with their formation in the first episode, and would often reach the top of the charts. All of the band members are close friends, with Kimber Benton being Jem's sister, though the band has been separated a few times. Examples include: "The Day The Music Died," and "The Bands Break Up."

I decided that I wanted to give my JAMIEshow doll permanent hair. So I took the idea from SUPERdoll’s Innoquii 14’ porcelain doll(s). They have their wigs glued into their wig-caps. I tested out many different kinds of hair (textures and colors) before settling on this a blonde colored ponytail.

Her hair is a mohair ponytail in a platinum blonde (I call this color James Bond Chrome) and the way I styled it quite unique. I glued her hair onto her separate head cap. If you lifted it up it would show her stringing.

The cap holds the elastic that holds the doll together, so the doll cannot be re-wigged or rooted. If you took her ponytail down and look under her head cap you will see the hook that holds the doll together. If I wanted to change her back to wearing wigs again I would have to purchase a new head cap.
